The Victoria's Secret Runway Trend We Predicted, Now Ready to Wear
If you watched the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on October 18, you might have noticed something that had nothing to do with wings. Again and again, the looks were layered, with skirts, sarongs and sheer pieces going right over the sets instead of leaving them bare.
Bella Hadid opened the show in a lime green sarong tied over her look. Kylie Jenner walked in a skirt layered over her set, paired with white feathered wings. Other models wore sheer trains and see-through layers over their lingerie. The takeaway: a light layer on top makes a set look more styled, not less.

Where our toppers come in
Our toppers are sheer layers made to go over your bikini, top or bottom. They give you that layered look, plus a little extra coverage, without giving up the swimsuit underneath.
We'd taken them off the site for a while, and seeing this on the runway felt like the right moment to bring them back.
The toppers
The Pearl Sarong Topper
A sheer blue wrap sarong that ties at the hip, so you can wear it low and loose or tied tighter. One size fits all.
The Henna Fold Over Skirt Topper
A sheer blue fold-over mini skirt. The fold-over waist lets you adjust how high or low it sits.
The Marissa Tank Topper
A sheer blue tank made to layer over a bikini top. It adds a little coverage up top and lets whatever you're wearing underneath show through. It runs large, so size down if you're between sizes.
All three are lightweight and water-safe, so you can swim in them, not just wear them on the walk to the water. They're made in NYC from premium recycled Italian fabric.
How to wear it: funk meets chic
The best part of a sheer layer is what shows through it. This is where you get to play.
- Go bold underneath. Sheer blue over a bright bikini, like red, orange, yellow or hot pink, turns a simple set into a whole look.
- Clash on purpose. Colors that "shouldn't" go together are exactly the point right now. Try blue over green, or over a loud print.
- Layer top and bottom. Wear the Marissa over a bright top and the Henna or Pearl over a different-colored bottom for a full sheer look with two colors peeking through.
- Mix your textures. Lace, eyelet and stripes all look great peeking through sheer fabric. Our swim bottoms and swim tops come in all three.
- Finish with fun accessories. A scrunchie in a contrasting pattern, chunky jewelry or a colorful bag keeps it playful.
- Keep it on after you swim. The fabric is made to get wet, so you can go from the water to lunch without changing.
